In the middle of the village, the walk<\/a> leads you to Thomaplatz, named after Thoma, the former measurer and teacher. Here, in Tutzing’s first school building, he taught and lived with his wife and 16 children.<\/p>\n

His daughter, Therese Vogl, was a famous Wagner singer. She and her husband are buried in the old, listed cemetery next door, which surrounds the small church of St. Peter and Paul<\/a>, which is well worth seeing. Right next to it is the local museum<\/a> with changing exhibitions.<\/p>\n

The stone Japanese lantern and a bench whose cheeks represent winged lions date from around 1920. Passing the well-preserved typical fisherman’s house of the Lettner family, we reach the Bleicher Park with the open wooden pavilion on Tuscan columns. This belonged to the Kalle Villa, which is still the heart of the Tutzing High School.<\/p>\n
