Forest bathing means: the conscious immersion in the forest atmosphere.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is understood as spending time in the forest in a mindful way in order to recover physically and mentally, to increase one’s well-being and to strengthen one’s health.<\/p>\n

In China, more than 2500 years ago, exercises were developed to absorb the Qi, or life energy. The exercises aim to create a harmonious connection between the forest and man. Under the name SHINRIN YOKU, this was revived in the 1970-ies by Japanese doctors and scientists as a forest therapy form.<\/p>\n

For us, conscious “immersion” in the forest includes simple but very effective exercises that strengthen and invigorate the body, as well as getting to know the forest in a new way, involving all the senses.<\/p>\n

We all know how good it is for us to spend time in nature and in the forest, and this should be intensified by a forest bath.<\/p>\n

Deep breathing of the clean air in the forest clears our respiratory tract and can boost metabolism.<\/p>\n

The scents and messenger substances of the forest, called terpenes, are important for our health and can strengthen our immune system.<\/p>\n

Many health-promoting effects, such as lowering blood pressure and blood sugar levels and reducing stress, have been proven by studies.<\/p>\n
