The yellow building owes its outer appearance to Count Friedrich von Vieregg, who had the baroque complex rebuilt between 1802 and 1816. In the following 150 years, Schloss Tutzing counted various owners, including the founder of the Deutsche Verlagsanstalt Eduard von Hallberger, the Hungarian-Jewish art collector Marczell von Nemes, the industrialist and Catholic centrist Albert Hackelsberger, and the Kaselowsky and Oetker families. In 1947, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria bought the castle and established the Evangelical Academy Tutzing on this special spot of earth.<\/p>\n

The Academy brings together people from politics, business, culture, science, the media and the church. The diverse events on offer range from conferences, panel debates and concerts to readings and lectures. It is interdisciplinary, intercultural, and international in scope and is open to everyone.<\/p>\n

The Protestant Academy of Tutzing is one of the most important think tanks in Germany and has been directed by the Protestant pastor and publicist Udo Hahn since 2011. Numerous impulses have come from here, such as the motto of Willy Brandt’s Ostpolitik: “Change through rapprochement.” Time and again, the castle and park are also in demand as a film set. Star directors such as Oliver Stone (“Snowden”) and Michael Herbig (“Bullyparade – Der Film”) filmed here.<\/p>\n

In summer the house is a hotel garni. Vacationers enjoy this place of longing, the historic ensemble, the exclusive lake access and the carefully prepared breakfast buffets in organic quality.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
