A landscape shaped by the ice age at Lake Starnberg

Between the Bavarian capital Munich and the market Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany, lies Tutzing on Lake Starnberg. The region is a landscape shaped by the ice age with the two great lakes. It is an important habitat for plants and animals.

The town of Tutzing, which was a simple fishing village until the 19th century, is located on Lake Starnberg and is very easy to reach by car or public transportation. Tutzing still inspires numerous artists today and gives everyone the opportunity to find peace and serenity.

Nevertheless, the region invites you to explore the natural surroundings on many bike or hiking trails. The monastery Andechs, as the highest elevation on the lake, the Ilkahöhe or the votive chapel in Berg are just a few of the many famous destinations.

Around the second largest lake in Bavaria you have many opportunities for an active vacation or a vacation for relaxation and recreation. Water sports range from sailing, surfing, SUP, swimming and diving to rowing.

Whether you are traveling with your family or alone, spending your well-deserved vacation or even just the weekend in Tutzing, you will enjoy a wonderful time.
