The Fischerstechen is a custom that is over 500 years old. It has become a popular tradition in Tutzing, usually taking place on a summer weekend. Two originally costumed actors balance on rowboats equipped with footboards to push each other into the water with lances. The winner of this competition may officially call himself the king of fishermen. Musical background and audience may not be missing, of course.
